Welcome to Umma Unity. Your privacy is a priority for the Second Helping Hands Foundation. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle user data in relation to our mobile application features, including Quranic resources, Prayer Times, Qibla direction, and donation processing.

1. Information Collection

We believe in minimal data collection. You can use most features of this App without providing any personal information.

A. Information You Provide Voluntarily

• Donation Details: When you make a donation, we collect your Name, Email, and Phone Number. This is used to issue 80G tax-exempt receipts and maintain financial records required by Indian law.
• Anonymous Donations: Users may choose to donate anonymously, in which case personal identifiers are not stored in our primary donor database.

B. Information Collected Automatically

• Approximate Location: The App accesses your device's approximate location to calculate local prayer timings and Qibla direction. This data is processed ephemerally (in-memory) and is never transmitted to our servers or stored.
• Device Identifiers: Our third-party partners (Firebase and Razorpay) automatically collect unique IDs (such as AAID or Instance IDs) for crash reporting, security, and push notification delivery.

2. Use of Data

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain app functionality (Prayer alerts, Qibla accuracy).
• To process charitable contributions and provide legal tax receipts.
• To monitor app performance and fix technical bugs via crash logs.
• To prevent fraudulent transactions and ensure security compliance.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

To provide a high-quality experience, we integrate with trusted third-party SDKs. These providers access data only to perform specific tasks on our behalf:

• Razorpay: Handles all payment processing. We do not store your credit card or UPI details on our servers.
• Firebase (Google): Used for analytics, crash diagnostics, and sending Adhan notifications (FCM).

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain donation records for the period required by Indian NGO audit and tax regulations. Diagnostic data is retained by Firebase for a limited period (typically 90 days).

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our App is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

7. Compliance with Indian Law

As a registered NGO in India, we comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the rules framed thereunder regarding the collection and use of sensitive personal data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
